Video Trailers that entices

June 27, 2008 by Fadzuli · 3 Comments

If you have ever been to movies, they would usually screen trailers of upcoming videos and most of the time these teaser will really make you want to go for it. Do you have that feeling? Almost everytime I go to the movies especially with friends, we would make such remarks and there is a "CONFIRMATION" that we watch the show.

What if you combine these videos with the internet? Ok most of us will refer to YOUTUBE for such videos cos almost any trailer will be in there. Even though the atmosphere ain’t the same as watching these trailers in cinemas but the outreach is amazingly much more powerful.

Today I saw a youtube trailer on Multiply and I believe this video deserves its viral marketing from me!!

Have you heard about the Kallang Roar The Movie?

I say the trailer is really well done. Really appreciate their efforts to make an impact.

Ooh yeah they really know how to make us relate to this man…haha..cos the only thing that I can remember is the TAMBY (Referree kayu part)..The typical shouts in the stadium!! What’s a game without such remarks..Tak sah orang kata!! but too much can also be Halooganistic.

Hmmmm not hitting the target again..but did I actually miss?

June 26, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

http://www.physics.eku.edu/Ciocca/bullseye.gifWell if you have been following me in my blog since last April, you may have remembered that I have targeted to earn $10,000 for the July target. Well to tell you the truth, again it did not came true..

So now its a time to reflect on it again. What has actually gone wrong. Was it still early to say or are we still green..hmmm

Well probably the energy was directed to a different direction cos you see as a company, ISLAMICSG NETWORKS manage to close a deal worth more than 10K.

As Directors of this company we are not paying each other yet till its certain that we have healthy cashflow as we all know business has its uncertainties and paying huge salaries now maybe risky and would affect the growth.

So you may wonder how do we actually survive with no funding and absolutely no support in the beginning. If you ask me its really a test of our skills. I would believe that many entrepreneurs goes through this stage also and furthermore we learn to budget carefully.

Actually with whatever amount that would we would have left can help me breathe now..haha..cos I’ve been paying my freelancers with my own money thus at least we can set aside a sum for them. Alhamdullilah..

So do you think I missed my target?

Alunan Kasih album will be out in stores soon!! You can also pre-order from us and the first 50 orders online will be delivered to your homes for FREE. Either by PAYPAL or BANK TRANSFER!!

If you are wondering what’s Alunan Kasih? Its one of the projects IslamicSG Networks did together with Masjid An Nur, Vocal Point, By Left & MUIS to run a song writing competition. The 10 songs that manage to qualify for the finals are recorded into an album and thus will be promoted via several channels.

Well let’s hope some of the songs can be hits in the radio!! One of my favorite is Nikmat Cintanya. Even though it got second place for the competition but personally I think it can go far. You can also listen to demos by clicking here.

Profits for the sales of this album will be channeled into Masjid An-Nur’s restoration projects.

What would you do with your first million..

June 25, 2008 by Fadzuli · 3 Comments

Recently Dr Irfan Khairi posted up what he did when he had his first 1st million when he was 25 @ his blog.

Can this be applied here because he is in Malaysia. Ok firstly Dr Irfan actually bought a Condo & a Car in cash. His reason was simple - He did not want to have debts. This was to make sure that his family are secured first. In uncertain times like this, being in debt is not a good idea.

If you happen to be on your way to make your first million, would you do the same. Personally I would but I won’t stay in the Condo. I would rather rent it out and get passive income on a monthly basis. For a car eh…Well the dream car is always the FERRARI kan…but that would cost me like 1 million and make me broke immediately..So I guess turning dad’s car into a Black plate would be a good idea. Heh!!

Then the rest of the money would be stash in savings and other forms of investments such as being a Venture Capitalist to start off other entrepreneurs. :)

So yeah what would you do?

A theme song that’s buzzing in my head…

Once a while such songs will ring into your head and you keep humming it. This is a recent movie I’ve watched, so yeah i’m giving the song a 5 star..It was really nice and it hits you when the song is played at the right part of the movie..

If it was just played in the middle of the movie.I do not know if it would work…Just towards the end and the characters are saying goodbye, this song is played…

Ooh my these movie producers do know when and where to hit people with their song…OK I’m not a movie maker or stuff, but I believe when you developing content, there are these element such as song and right timing to get people to feel the movie or content..

Back when Titanic hit the billions of dollars in revenue, I didn’t really understand it cos I find the show super boring but Celine Dion Song, was enough to make it all happening and touch millions of hearts. I guess to me the songs made a lot of difference.

What do you think of the IAlif Mobile Prayer Time

Communications with Hafihz

June 22, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

Communications is an every day thingy which we use to either relay a message or show your feeling towards a certain situation. From time to time, we need to enhance it and learn new ways of communicating to either get the message across and if possible deliver the right meaning  to make the communications effective.

That is what Bro Hafihz above stated in this FREE Talk on Communication last Friday, 20 June 2008. The talk covered three aspects of communication which are “What is Communications”, “Why Communication” and “How to Communicate well”. Even though it was 2 hours, the content Bro Hafihz delivered was immensely rich.

Let’s hope we have another coming soon and insyallah we can have more people the next time round.

Meeting with Warees

June 21, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

Yesterday I got the opportunity to meet Syamsul ( IT Head ) from Warees Investments. We were discussing a MUIS project ( Still confidential ) and so at the same time to discuss possible collaboration on technologies and advertising.

Did you know Warees is the company that installed the LCD Panels at Mosques or "Mediaware"? What LCD? You know the TV panels that displays what’s happening at mosques and once a while there will be advertisements in it. Its found in almost most of the Satellite mosques.

So I’m looking at the possibilities of advertising Islamicevents.sg there and also provide the teaser contents for mosques events. Basicly what we wish to achieve is to bring Advertising to the next level and fully utilizing the internet, offline methods and so on.

Hopefully this will also spark content developers and advertising agency to be aware of the potential the Mediaware Technology

At the same time, for our own advertisers, we can recommend them this platform so to allow them to receive more mileage and insyallah it will be money well spent on advertising.

I’m the kind who is always looking at WIN WIN situations and so I believe this is one of them.

Don’t stop meeting people

June 20, 2008 by Fadzuli · 2 Comments

Especially in starting a new business, meeting people is important. Whether its online or offline, meeting people are essential because once you stop doing that you will realize that your incoming cash flow will also stop.

Personally I will try to arrange at least 1 meeting per day or at least a minimum of 3 meetings per week and conduct one lesson per week. By doing so it will automatically add more people to your contact list and expand on your network.

Meetings may not give you instantenous payments but what we want is to build relationship between us and our clients, our mentors, etc. Word of mouth marketing is better than other forms of marketing thus in meetings are one way to do it. Thus this is also a way to build up your network. Its part of Marketing..

So are you stump and seeing negative cashflow right now? I suggest picking up the phone and have a chat with your clients to get updates from them and meet them if possible. It may not be necessarily be for business.

So how many people do you meet every day or every week?
