My first Non Malay Student

December 31, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

This shouldn’t be a surprise as we live in a cosmopolitant country where Malays, Chinese, Indian, Eurasians and other races kind of mix. So we do bump into one another all the time right.

Previously most of my workshops were all targeted towards the Malay Community but somehow this one student of mine Von got to find out about this workshop through some searches.

Von is a former banker and financial consultant. She used to work very long hours day by day till her health hit a toll on her. She suffered from a mild stroke recently and was almost bed ridden for 3 months. She was grateful that she is able to leave the job and do her own stuff now.

So here’s a video on what she has to say about the workshop.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Find out more about this workshop here

What I really emphasize during this workshop is really marketing. Offline and Online. You will be surprised how similar it is that we use the offline methods to our online methods. How we recommend and encourage and how we educate. Really the basics and you’ll be surprised even some of the veterans do not know this even though they are doing it.

So come for a preview this coming Friday, 2nd of January 2008, 7.45pm at 25 Peck Seah Street #07-08 S(079315). Beside Tanjong Pagar MRT.

Next Workshop

By now you should be able to see the adverts and promotions being done for the workshop. So here it is again!

Just as  I preached about how marketing is being done and the frequencies that it should be done. Well here I’m practising it not just preaching because we all know that the first time may not be reached. We need to keep doing over and over again. We’ll make sure it gets out, so its a matter of preparation.

The next few days, I’ll be writing a few more articles and showcase some videos on this.

Maal Hijrah & Happy New Year

December 29, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

Two calendars turning to a new year almost together this time round. So I’ll say Maal Hijrah 1430 to all my Muslim Bros and Sisters out there and Happy New Year to all regardless of race and religion.

I just read an article that says that this is the time of year which is the most difficult because its the time where we reflect on our actions. The good things, the bad things and whatever. The money you earn, the money you loss. The people you meet, the people you loss. So let’s look back at 1429 and 2008. Has it been great for you.

I always believe in this quote

Its not what you do tomorrow that matters, but what you do today that will make a difference for tomorrow.

I change it a bit. Can’t remember the original quote but who cares right. You see what I am today is a product of yester years. How I form the way I think, how I talk or conduct my lecture or what ever. It is based on the past that you become what you are.

The past also helps to correct mistakes, the past also helps to prevent the wrong things from happening again if we learn. So yeah let’s reflect on what we did.

Take an hour or so. Sit down and relax and think about the whole of last year. Definitely there are things that we do not want to remember, so dont force yourself on that.

A few years back, a group of us gathered and we did this sharing thing. A lot of times we think that we didn’t make any progress but in reality there were many unnoticeable things that we did not realise when we were doing it.

A few years ago when I did MLM, I realise because of MLM, I was able to get in contact with Primary School friends which I did not contact for like almost 20 years. Even though that year I’ve never really made progress with the Bank balance but in terms of friendship…OMG I didn’t know I had that many.

So you see don’t look at the NEGATIVE side only. Look at the POSITIVE too. Within one year you can do so much. Consider your own health failing and you know that you are going soon, another year of survival is really a gift from God. So let’s be thankful and grateful to what is given to us.

So take your time to reflect.

This was my resolution back last year…

1) Welcome back my parents from Haj..( Heh Family must come first )   - Done

2) Start to market my services further. - Ongoing

3) Get Adsense Resurrector!! That will finance IslamicEvents.sg, so that we can keep it free !!

    - Adsense Resurrector sunk but Islamicevents.sg still thrives..

4) Yes make my million buckss…As of now…it is gonna be 69 days from my b’day!! Can I make it…!!!

    - I didn’t make it.. but still in the process. :)

5) When there’s more moolahs!! I need to start hiring a secretary or admin staff!!
    - Did that but I had to let them go as it was too draining Financially

6) Learn to outsource my work better!!!

    - Still learning - because of this it cause me months of loans to pay off. Well its ok now.
7) Be a coach to Wira Internet Participants..

    - Wira Internet did not work out. Well I did become an Internet coach right?
8) Find a life partner..hmm ( I guess this is always an on going process… )..My terms are quite simple..if I become bankrupt will u be there!!!…Of course when we make millions u will be happy but when it turns around and all is lost will you still stick by my side…(Last year this was my no1 priority now its no 8…so to think of it, this can probably wait…)

- Ok this one failed totally. I was not even looking. The mind is too busy thinking of making money and surviving for yourself. Perhaps this year will be different. See if people can tolerate my nonsense. Haha

When we are done with that. Let’s look at what we have and think about how we can go FORWARD?

Ok we still have a few more days right to think of the new resolutions! I think some of you might already know one of my targets that is to make the 100K by June 2009. A mountainous task but I think I’ll get there very soon.

More coming up this NEW YEAR.

The differentiating mindset

December 26, 2008 by Fadzuli · Leave a Comment

Perhaps this is my first real post after a long long time. I’m ready to write again..

I was watching this video at the RichLifeClub.com by Gregg Habistrat, Founder of Master Wealth. What this guy does is he teach people how to attract wealth. Cool right?

The point that strike me is when he said that …

“In every seminar that happens, there are two people who sit beside each other. Both get the same exact information and guidance. One of them become super success while another goes back to the RUT”

What differs them is the mindset…

The hard part is to have the internal drive and understanding how to control your mind.

What keeps someone wealthy and creating wealth is again the mindset..

What stops people from making it!

1) Commitment.
-  You have to commit to wealth creation, gaining knowledge, working hard. If you are not then you will definitely know where you end up right?

2) Confidence.
- What causes fear, is what you don’t know. Basicly lack of knowledge. When that happens you will not be confident. Do you see successful not being confident.

3) Clarity
- Are you clear on what you really want?

“Every successful people, makes swift decisions”

“What’s more important is not the size of the step but the RISK of the step”

Ashik’s book

ashik400

This book was launched a few weeks ago by Trade Minister Lee Yi Syan during the Enpreneurship week at Toa Payhoh Hub.

Ashik started his business selling Motivational Postcards at the age of 9 years. The idea of doing this business at the young age spark when he was in Primary 2.

At that age, his father - Abang Abu was already teaching Ashik entrepreneurial values and there was one value that taught well which was “If You Want It, Go Get IT”. At that tender age, his mind was already educated and groom to survive. Even though the necessities are covered but if Ashik wants something like an Xbox, he had to earned it himself.

So today at age 12 and thousands of dollars richer, Ashik is able to write his own book and had reinvested the money into getting his book out.

Here’s a video of that event..

I’m back…

December 23, 2008 by Fadzuli · 1 Comment

Its been long long two weeks.

Came back from reservist with a flu and fever. Knocked out last Sunday and had to give a miss to a wedding. Hmm to think of it I missed two weddings.

There are good things to say and there are bad things to say about this in-camp but I’m not going to share it here because I rather forget it and move on. All I can say it was a tough two weeks, physically and mentally.

So how’s the two weeks been with all of you out there?

Eid Mubarak

Eid Mubarak to all and may you be happy with your family and friends.

Will be away serving the country again for the next two weeks.

If there are any urgent matters, please email and I will try to answer back as soon as I can reach the Computers in the Officer’s Mess or the Office if there is any Internet.

Picture taken months ago when we had a briefing at Maju Camp. The guy on the left is Sufian. He’s the Company Sergeant Major.

So this is the time of the year, my fellow Commanders and I will have to bear the responsibilty of leading our soldiers through the training, live firings and 4 days of Back to Back Missions.

This is perhaps the first time, I’m really gonna lead people to fight in Battalionn missions as I was a STAFF officer back in NS days. So back then I never really had the chance to coordinate battles except for Officer Cadet Training Days. This in-camp will be more interesting and yet challenging.

Hopefully I’ll be back in one piece..haha..

Ok see you guys soon!

CHONG-SUA…CHONG-SUA …here I come

LTA Fadzuli out…….

Do you believe that there is no competition in Business?

December 1, 2008 by Fadzuli · 4 Comments

Many a times, we always end up thinking that we are competing with another friend another company another country another…another…

Why is this so?

Again its because we have been place in a system which makes us think so. In truth the REAL competition is YOURSELF.

There’s an abundance of opportunities out there. There are places that some people just cannot access because of many reasons.

For example. Recently I’ve gotten a Non Muslim who tries to ask my company to promote an Electronic Device that helps to read the Quran. You see without understanding or knowing what is the Quran and understanding the Islamic Market, he has no business at all.

The only way that he can penetrate into the market is through another Muslim who understands the products and understand the market to serve it to the Muslim market.

Another example is as such..

I may know only so and so and when I advertise or promote my services, I can only reach a certain number of people who are within my network. Beyond that I need you to help me get there.

So you see. I have several designers and programmers in my network and hardly i see myself competiting with each other because we end up sharing the jobs. How much can one man or one company take. You see there are limitations. When one is full to the brim, you need to refer over to another company who can do the same work else you will lose the opportunity.

How do you gain? Sometimes you pass the jobs over without asking for any price but most of the time we should ask for a cut because without YOU, there is no Business for the other party. Get it? And when you do this DONT be Greedy! Take a reasonable cut perhaps 5% to 10% and empower your partnering companies

—————————————————————–

What I’m really sad is that there are too many greedy entrepreneurs out there who really do not understand how to do business and how to share. They believe in the SURVIVAL of the FITTEST. If you believe in such nonsense, people will bound to hate you. You may not realise it now but someday when you are rich, people will remember how you become rich in a negative manner. Usually such businesses  have a very low life span. Perhaps 5 to 10 years Max.

—————————————————————–

The TRUE competition is within yourself… If you believe you have grown smarter and are much maturer than a year ago and compared to last time you have more knowledge and you have more friends. Isn’t that growth. Even if you fail but you learn am I right? That is what you need to learn from and grow from. As long there is growth and you keep exploring and learning new things, you will eventually get to your destination.

So go out there take the challenges and always tell yourself to be BETTER and DO IT!

Sometimes in life you just need to do it like Forest Gump

Sometimes you just need to do things like Forest Gump. I had this idea of writing about Forest Gumps when I was running with Mr Lee Yi Syan yesterday at East Coast. Inspirations come from anywhere and anytime cos I while running I remembered where Forest Gump ran and ran without stopping for months.

Sometimes in life you just need to do it like Forest Gump

What do I mean by saying this? If you have watched the movie, you would know that Forest was born with a low IQ and a lot of his achievements comes from his own talent, like running, being in sports and so on. One thing I realise is that he achieved all the SUCCESS without thinking too muchHe just did it.

Last week I asked one of my partners to do a task which only takes 1 minute to do, and you know what it takes 2 days of just talking and end up nothing gets done. I had to do it myself. Sometimes I ask myself why is this so? Why can’t they just do it? Perhaps its my fault for not being influential enough. Perhaps that is what I need to work on more..

Sometimes you do not need reasons to do things. Just do it like Forest Gump did. Don’t think too much and just do it. What matters is that its gets the job done. I believe there are times that reasoning should come later.

Belief in him and what he has install for you.. When you have a high belief in God, things will flow…. At when this happens you dont have to try too hard cos this is the time when you learn to receive.
