Evaluation of Blogging Class 2

Todays Blogging class is much smaller than the first one despite the number of calls. So it got me thinking about what went wrong or went right.

What went right…
1) Featured write up in BH ( Manage to save on Advertising ).
2) Over 40 calls received.
3) Personal calls to remind & encourage them to join.
4) Able to teach more topics today. I did not cover a few topics for the first batch - Like Adding HTML codes.

What might have went wrong & what can be done better…
1) 8 hours intensive course…
I realise the students almost pengsan after 8 hours. Well I have a sore throat now!! haha..Probably I’ll make it a two day course - 2 x 4 hours. 4 hours on Saturday & 4 hours on Sunday.

2) Not providing enough Dates - It seems that several people have been smsing asking for the next date. Thanks for the push…Now instead of just advertising for 1 day, I’ll advertise 2 dates. If there’s more people who can come for that certain date, then we push everyone into that date.

3) Price too expensive. Hmmm…I guess a lot of people do not realise how much this course is really worth!!

As much as we want to help as many people as possible, its not worth bringing it down cos when price is too low, I’m jeopardising my income, efforts & covering costs. Trust me there’s a lot of work especially in preparations - logistics and so on..We run a business not a charity organization. At the same time it also helps to filter out the people who really wants to learn.
