The new VIS logo? What do you think?

It took a while to get this done.. After bouncing ideas with Kak Husna, Kak Liza and Kak Mus..

The meaning ?

1) Since we started the VIS idea since last year. It has build on quite a creditable name. Hence we’ll stick to that.
2) The Bending Arrow.

Its made up of two parts.

A broken infinity sign
- An infinity sign will indicate stress and a never ending cycle. That’s where most employees/self employed personals are left to be. Yes a never ending cycle of work. So we want to break the cycle. Yes even in serving the clients, they too must have their limits. The Goal of the VIS is to be able to work from home smartly. Yes handling clients work can be tough but if one knows how to balance the work and family, things will go great.

->> This is the indication of growth and success
->> Also the arrowhead looks like the top of the house. Again the emphasis on work from Home.

Below are a series of the branches that is being developed..

VIS Training – Is the 3-4 months VIS Course covering the 15 modules.

VIS Education – For VIS Alumnis. From time to time the VIS needs to revise or get to know new updates and technologies.. Its a lifetime education. Hence that’s why we call it VIS education. This is also the SUPPORT group for the VIS to exchange ideas, seek help when required and so on.

VIS Business Support – This is where Entrepreneurs can engage the VIS to help them develop, maintain and sustain their online businesses.

The New Logo

Here’s a brief of what it means for Hafihz when he designed this:

The letters of your name are inside.
The logo looks like a man (you) working on a computer, with his objective above him aimed towards the sky. (similar to your mission statement)
The logo also is in the shape of an arrow pointing to the sky, with its tail curvy (journeys can be curvy at times).
The logo is dynamic enough to be a bullet due to its arrow shape. You can consider it in your notes, powerpoint slides, or as a pointer graphic.
Because the logo plays on shapes, you can imagine the sphere removed and still retain the pattern. It will become your trademark brand shape, you can choose to colour anyway you like.
You can just use the shapes without the sphere and the text too. That solves the copywriting design problem. And because it fits into a sphere nicely, you can imagine the endless possibilities for your .com businesses… (as the dot itself for e.g.).

My thoughts.

1) Firstly i would say its very well done. I would not be able to think of such concept.

2) The man on the keyboard is really interesting and it does represent what I do.

New Theme

Took the whole of last night till 4am to tweak this new theme. The whole theme was bought from Woo Themes called – Open Air.

I have been contemplating to change the theme since don’t know when. So decided to make the fix change and walah here it is.

Its a very simple theme yet robust in nature though it has very limited Adspaces. That I have to recustomised the components and write my own scripts…perhaps.

Too many categories

I also realised I had too many categories. Slowly I gathered them and lump them up in groups. This will surely affect my page ranking and SEO as the previous page structures and links have been changed. Ooh man but I guess its for the long term.

Logo..

I decided to use this logo instead of the older because of the look of the them.. The former theme looks a bit more corporatish but this looks much more friendlier – I guess, hence the change in the logo.

Remember this logo? If you had followed this blog since last year, we had 3 variation of logos? This was version 3.

The good thing about knowing how to do our own designs is that we can always customise our own namecard every time we want to send out for print. Heh. So yup this is the latest design

Glam Shots

I needed nice photos of myself to put my face out in the papers and for future use. So I engaged my secondary school buddy to take these fantastic shots for me.

Superimposed Library at the back..Ok the back actually showed some bicycles and stuff..so we had to photoshop a little bit.

So yeah that’s the work of a good friend of mine and this only took like 1 hour to shoot. Of course the editing part takes a long time.
