This has become a routine that Thursdays will be newsletter day. So I’ll be stuck in the office or at home, typing out all this articles and thinking of what to say to 500 plus strong subscribers of Islamicevents.sg and 2000 plus list of Nowasia’s contact.

What time all these emails will be sent out. I would say before Friday. Cos its meant to catch the Friday crowd.

Why do I chose Thursday? 

Unlike the newspaper industries where they have information at all times, I need time to gather information, meet new people and find new ideas from Monday to Wednesday. Seriously content creation is not an easy task. It does require a lot of patience and thinking process which can take a toll on you.

And finally if I don’t send out an email by Thursday…the email will not be reached to the majority. Statistics shows that 50% of our readers open their email before they go off for the weekend..  

Furthermore the Islamic Activities are usually crowded on weekends, so its great to inform them a few days before hand.

At the same time it also gives the mosques and organisations know their when they need to submit their events. If they missed it, their events will not be featured in the newsletter. 

Dedicate One Day..

Also having a dedicated a day to doing this also will stop you from doing any other things. We do need that. Sometimes we end up doing so many things at one time that we lose focus. So Thursdays – I declare – “NEWSLETTER DAY!”
