Look At Ourselves First

Look-at-ourselves

Look at ourselves first in the mirror before talking about others.

No wonder our hearts are filled with evil thoughts all the time cos we forget that we are no better than the person we talked about.

I would like to make the following comments: An ‘ulamak’ expounded the following
4 stages to better ounself – “ilmu, iman, amal, takwa”. Each stage entails alot of planning and action. ‘Ilmu’ for example – in Islam is of paramount importance – ‘fiqh, tasauf, tauhid’. To attain ‘ilmu’ one must open one’s mind. After having ‘ilmu’ ‘iman’ will come. This will be tested with the trials and tribulations for achievement. You must be consistent, then you are open to ‘amal’. One gets better with the 3 stages and so takwa follows. How many of us – Muslimin and Muslimat – achieve these 4 stages from the moment we were born up to the present? That’s why we are inclined to ‘evil
thoughts’ backed by syetan. Our saviour now is Allah (SWT) and our Holy Prophet Mohamed’s (SAW) injunctions. Pray hard, work hard and Insyallah we can alleviate our ‘evil thoughts’ and ‘look ourselves in the mirror’ with a measure of confidence. An ‘ulamak’ mentioned that thousands of Americans convert to Islam. I believe they
start with having ‘ilmu’ i.e ilmu Islam and so in the years to come thousands all over the
world will convert to Islam. Do we practise the 4 stages mentioned above to achieve takwa? Insyallah|

Salam to All with Allah’s grace and blessings. Alhamdulillah, I’m ‘Reborn’ everyday. I’m also learning everyday insya’Allah. Syukran jazilan for sharing. At times we ‘born’ Muslims take things for granted. How deep is our understanding of Islam and how close are we to Allah though we’ve been praying since young??? Do we love Allah above His creations??? I’ve ‘slapped’ myself many times ‘to re-correct’ myself… Any sharing…Jazakallahu khairan kathiran.
