Firstly we must understand truly who you need to please especially when you run your business through FB or Blogs and such. Ultimately it is not to please me ( your teacher ) and you do not need my approvals for every single postings. Its like waiting for me to give you a grade every time you post something on FB. If you are doing this, you are still thinking like a “CHILD”. Neither do you need to please your prospects, clients, etc. Because the first thing you have to think about before posting anything is to please Allah swt. Period!

Set this intention daily that every time you post something out there, this will not make Allah swt angry. Why because Allah swt is the ultimate sustainer, the “Ar Razak”. If you can please Allah swt, everything else will follow! Yes. This will automatically attract individuals, your prospects, your clients, etc. You don’t have to worry because Allah swt will do HIS wonders for you.

 Now does this mean I have to post only quotes about Allah swt, Rasulullah saw and spiritual stuff?

Then again if you narrow your mind to such, you are in the losing end. And so I decided to come out with this checklist so that it can be a guide to everyone. Insyallah. You can use this.

1) Before we post, think carefully if this content or comments will please Allah swt and Rasulullah saw.

2) Before we post, will this content or comment hurt someone in the process. It’s very simple. If you can hurt someone, you can disobey Allah swt. Again will Allah swt be please with us.

3) If the post is opinionated and require extensive debate and its telling the truth, we check again if this will please Allah swt and Rasulullah saw.

4) Before we post an image or video, will Allah swt be pleased with me.

This is something which we need to ponder and reflect on day to day and I hope this simple checklist will be of use.

So dear students, you are running your own business and you are one who will determined your own results with Allah swt guidance. So seek HIM first, please HIM first before anyone else. Remember, everything else will follow through when you remember HIM.

Perhaps you are wondering what a “FIRE SALE”  is ?

If you happen to google for the term, Wikipedia would say “A fire sale is the sale of goods at extremely discounted prices, typically when the seller faces bankruptcyor other impending distress.”

however they are others that term it as ”Having many sales within a short time”. 

Fortunately I was able to witness such phenomenon recently. Within 4 hours 900 tickets worth $10 each was sold out for this event “Youth aLIVE Discourse; ‘Seeking Solace By Yasmin Mogahed”

More importantly we want to learn from this experience.

How did this happen? Can we repeat this again in the future? 

There were many factors to this success. Let’s break it down one by one.

1) The Speaker

We know that the speaker Yasmin Mogahed is a very popular public speaker in the Muslim online community. With a global following of more 70,000 followers and with thousands of followers here in Singapore, it made it easier to sell the tickets.

2) The Hype

I was in a meeting with the organisers the day before we open the registration. We talked about planning, the finances, etc. When it comes to marketing, i asked them what was in planned. All they mentioned that they had a FB event page, that invited 1000 people a week or two before I met them. So they wanted my company Islamicevents.sg to handle the ticketing. They have actually created the hype. To be honest I was also not aware of that event page until I met the organisers. Apparently they have already created the noises and people were just waiting for the tickets to go on sale.

3)  Price

Ticket price does play a crucial role. If the tickets were sold at $100 per piece, is this Fire Sale possible? Perhaps it could.

 4) Online Payments Systems

This is probably not possible without online payment system. I could not imagine if we don’t have the facilities to support this. Imagine having just telephone operators at the end of the line. Phones will be ringing like crazy and how many lines do we need to support this operation. Even with online payment, the availability of reliable servers and systems is required and honestly I was suprised that our system did not crashed. Alhamdulillah.

Compared to many gigantic events like Taylor Swift concerts which is well known to be sold out in 5-10 minutes. This is quite an achievement for an Islamic Event.

I would like to share a simple strategy that could take your contents viral. But first let’s understand what do we mean by being viral.

VIRAL comes from the word VIRUS. A virus as we know is a medical term for a disease or drug that is able to spread easily such as the normal COLD and FLU. It’s behaviour works as such that it is able to multiply from the place where it is hosted. From one bacteria its spreads to two and more.

In Facebook it may look something very similar, however being viral is subjective and depends on the audience you have created. A content posted on Channel A may have more Likes and Shares than the similar content posted on Channel B. Because we have to understand that not everything works the same. However there is always exceptions as Channel B can slowly conditioned and tune its audience to like such contents and get it to be virally shared.

Basicly I am in the Islamic Niche and my audience that comes to read my wall posts are mostly Muslims. As humans we like to be reminded of to do certain actions. In this case we like to be reminded to perform our zikr.

A posting like this although look simple, but it has significant meaning to a Muslim. Hence its likely to be shared among them. And as you can see it generated 748 Likes and 157 shares.

And because of this our FB page also grew by 1,000  more followers.

Now how do you know a content can go viral. Honestly there are a few measures such as Psychological triggers and such but don’t be surprised that the silliest content and the non most interesting content can also go viral.

So the best way to know is to observe and study other people’s posting and see if there it goes viral. Can you replicate them and make it even more interesting?

At the same time, let’s not lose focus. Are you creating or replicating viral content to grow your friends / subscribers or are you just doing it for fun? Although we don’t have to be serious all the time, so have fun while doing this yah!

While holidaying in Malaysia, I picked up magazine SOLUSI and happen to stumble on Dr Fadzilah’s Kamsah article where he was given a ride on his friends car. In the car, there was this sticker that stated this Man’s goal to become a Millionaire and also become a pious person at the same time by December 2004. Today this man is a Multimillionaire and one of the most generous people Dr had ever met.

So this will be my desktop image until end of 2013. Let’s do this and manifest it out. Insyallah.

We don’t know how it will turn out, but the feeling is really strong in 2013. Let’s go all out.

Lesson: How to state your Goals.

1) State your intentions Clearly.

2) Set a firm dateline.

3) Place this where you can see it everyday. Make it part of your doa and zikr everyday.

Yes that’s it.

Read the goals daily to re-affirm yourself when you are down or when you are losing your momentum. Also do write down your day to day progress in a notebook or diary. It will help you along the way.

This will liven up your spirits and have new ideas to improve your day to day issues. Mentors may also be your spiritual mentors not just business mentors.

3) Be patient…

Surah Al-Baqarah ( The Cow ) – سورة البقرة – Verse:155

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,

As Chinese New Year is around the corner – A Happy New Year to my Chinese Friends and Happy Holidays for the rest. Classes will resume next Wednesday..

In a few hours we will say goodbye to 2012 and welcome a brand new year in the Gregorian Calendar.

We are what we are now because of the past…

Let us reflect on this year failures and achievements.

Though this year in personal life, I have quite a few set backs but all that were hard life lessons that Allah wants me to learn. And I believe if you had went through such set backs, don’t give up. This world is just a test and a bridge for us to cross it. All the obstacles and challenges given are lessons to make us stronger and keep us in check with our faith Him. May Allah swt guide us all. And so I will end those negative set backs here.

Great things had happened?

1) Among the many highlights of this year, is the launch of the Facebook Prayer Time Viral App on Islamicevents.sg. For the first time we were getting and growing 25 – 1000 leads a day on Auto Pilot.

2) Experiencing Consistent Sales and an admin system. Before this I was handling most of the online orders on the back end for Islamicevents.sg, but slowly we’ve been building a back end system to make orders easy to handle by our admins. We have systematically implement a dispatching system to ensure items are to be delivered one week to 2 weeks upon order.

3) Working with TJ Hussain.  You will not be able to see magnificient photos like above if it were not for him.

4) Partnership for “Change Your Words Change Your Profits” workshop with Sis Suria Mohd.

5) Establishing contacts with Malaysian Expo organisers.

6) Bussorah Training Room. Perhaps this was the main highlight for Fadzuli.com. Given the opportunity to take up a space at this popular area. Now we have a permanent space for training.

7) Launching the Facebook Action Series Course - We’ve manage to get 3 batches of students for this course. It’s just a pleasure to serve small numbers of students and yet see success among them.

8) And upon requests, I have decided to create a FREE guide on Successful Email Marketing – A 7 series report. And the first report will be released this 1st of January.

So what’s up for 2013?

The Mantra for this year is “Mission to Millions”.

Mission to Millions is not just about  earning Millions but I would like to focus on the Millions of things that needs to be done.

Among them are Millions of Prayers, Millions of Gratitude, Millions of Forgiveness, Millions of Actions, Serving Millions of People, Solving Millions of Problems and insyallah Millions of Rewards.

It seems that as we age in the business world, it is a joy to bring great results to people and solving the day to day problems.  So my hopes in this year is to have the opportunity to serve 1,000 more people offline and 1,000,000 people online. May Allah swt permit us to do so. Insyallah.

There was even a conversation on Facebook of creating the UNLIKE button  just like Youtube did but somehow I don’t see it till today. But this doesn’t really solve the problem why people don’t Comment.

And so I’ve narrowed to a few simple conclusions why people don’t Comment on your Posts or lesser of them actually Comment than press the LIKE button.

They are:
1) The reader likes the post but have no idea/desire to reply.
2) The post does not trigger a Conversation
3) It takes a whole bunch of action and commitment to type something out.
4) Fear of writing something that may hurt feelings
5) You weren’t asked to give a comment? Yes sometimes people just need to be asked.

the list goes on though. Share your thoughts at the comment box below.
