A simple advert yet effective

I was passing by Bendeemer Rd the other day and I saw this advert…Its just two lines with a yellow background…
Simple yet easy to comprehend..
These days advertisements are becoming more graphical and flashy. Well more does not mean that it will translate to resuults therefore simple ones such as shown above actually stands out better because its just less cluttered and stands out in the other heaps of attractive advertising…
Similar to the web 2.0 designs…They say keep it simple and clean…. At the end of the day its the message that you want to deliver not the advert. Do keep that in mind when you are advertising anything..

Hallmark of web2.0: customer involvement. But ads are moving into web 3.0 territory nowadays: think customer creation with the ad. Imagine driving pass the sign and your phone smses dynamically to you smth like:
“Missed the sign? Many ex convicts don’t get noticed too. Why not sms (yes i notice) and help break the prejudice. Each sms is…” (smth like that)
The ad above is a good example of a bent copy with a straight picture. One of many sciences to good advertising: if you bend the pic, you keep the copy as what it should be. If you bend the words, keep the pics as the products themselves. Start looking at award winning ads with this perspective… i reckon you’d go “Ahah!!!” =p
thanks for the idea….I will look into that…
