“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so you can live the rest of your life like most people can’t.”
I’ve been participating in the YoungEntrepreneurship Forums again and I saw this tagline under someone’s else nick. So I thought I would want to open up a topic and let’s have a thought about it.
So do you believe in this quote? If you been to seminars they would always brag about such things. You can work for 2-5 years then you can start to slow down and enjoy your fruits of labour.
In a way its true but you have to do it right. And you do need to build a proper system around what you are doing. I’ve seen a few entrepreneurs who have also been stuck with what they are doing year in and year out because they call themselves Entrepreneurs but in full truth they are stuck as SELF EMPLOYED guys cos they never built a system to allow them to be free of their duties.
During the Wealth Seminar in Feb, I learn to come out with a chart of things that we do and the roles that we have to play. It will give us a bigger picture of what’s running in our business and from there we can know what is needed to be done and what needed to be out source.
As time goes by, when you have better cash flow, those positions need to be filled up by someone else who is a specialists in that area. You can either outsource those positions ( which may cost less) or hire a full time staff to handle those tasks.
If you have this mentality, “I can do everything by myself”… Trust me in a few years time, you will be sitting in the same position and doing the same thing over and over again.
I’m not saying that its easy to do this as we all know that employees dont stay for long especially in this age where there will be better rewards elsewhere and nobody swears to loyalty to no one. So you need to figure this one out. How do you get people to stay and support your business.
