Everytime I attend Dr Irfan’s workshop, he will always keep saying this..Do you want more business? Under promise and over deliver. One sentence but it is so powerful.
In his case when he started selling his maps online? He would usually add more stuff in his package but he doesn’t tell them that. For example, he included motivational materials in audio CD.
So when the receiver receives it, he/she will see, eh “What’s this?”. If the CD becomes beneficial to him/her, it would be a talking point for his customer and slowly they would encourage their friends to get the map from Dr Irfan before coming to Malaysia.
Furthermore some of his buyers are travel agents from overseas, these agents love to resell the maps to the customers because it contains that extra materials that he gave.
So how cool is that. Word of mouth Marketing with that little over deliverance.
So how about myself? Pretty much I do a lot of things that people do not know. In my case I give my clients the extra publicity which they may need. Such as connecting them to Berita Harian to launch their business or write an article about them for the FREE publicity through the Blogs.
There are other over deliverances that I won’t mention here because its a trade secret? Else later you also want to have this and that without considering our efforts, the time and money. So I will keep that up to wraps. We will give you what we can give you but don’t expect it because we will under promise you.
