What is Google up to?

What’s next? It never seems to stop, Google are really taking the steps to dominate the Internet Realm. Started with their Search Engines, then Adsense and today Google is trying to take over the Internet Browsers. 

As firefox are already widely known and they are owned by Google, Google still created their own browsers called Google Chrome.

So yesterday I downloaded the browser and I can say I’m impressed. The first page that I see when I launch the browser is the shortcut to the most frequent websites that I go to. I think this is really useful. While other browsers only shows either Google, MSN or Yahoo, this first page actually tells you or ask you where you want to go.

This really shows how much research have been put in to developed the browsers. Google developers must have made studies on Internet Browser usability and understood what People really wants.

Plugins to be improved on

I see a great start but this Beta Version of Google Chrome has it draw backs. They have yet to include compatible Java Applets into the browsers. I could not open up my Internet Banking site using this browser. I assume they cannot play the Yahoo Games either. I still haven’t tested it extensively. I let you know if I find more problems.

Search made easy?

Well searching has been made easy just by typing the keywords at the URL bar. You don’t need to type “somothing.com” anymore. The latest FF3 already has this, well Google Chrome just reuse the same implementation but they are really fully utilising it. 

They dont have the search component - usually found on the top right of our browsers. Now all you need is to type it in your URL bar to search for anything.

Speed

I think the browser is still new and its very light. It loads quite fast.
