A day i wouldn’t want to get out of bed.

It was difficult to wake up today cos my body was aching all over due to all the hardwork yesterday for the National Education Show.

Yesterday was a day which i was clueless on what’s gonna happen for NE Show cos I’m already on leave and too tired to listen to other plans. For the last few days tried very very hard to settle the usher uniform issues.. Crazy man. I went to down to all 3 polytechnics and really had nightmare going down there. Everyone who was issued a uniform wanted to change cos its either it did not fit them or they happy happy want to change. I don’t know but really it was terrible.

Linda our tailor has some fault in this. I hope she realised it. Based on our contract I could not fault her as the delivery of uniforms is 30 days after getting the sizes but the sizes till now kept changing. Really felt like giving up..but this was my baby.. Actually I was quite angry with Linda cos she did not want to see the mess at the Stadium last Saturday.

Anyway those students who did not have uniforms yesterday, was allowed to wear jeans and so on but they were not allowed to usher at the grandstand and galleries. Whatever I promised them that I will rectify this problem and get this done before NDP Preview. I must not promise people anymore man. Kind of sucky when it doesn’t go my way.

NE show was chaotic man…Student Ushers aside I’m talking about the management.. I think Cpt Robin had really screwed this up. It was really very bad. In the afternoon when the first batch of students came. It was still ok but come after 1600 hrs, things got really messy as the students were criss crossing each other. i didn’t know what happened but it was a serious problem. It became very serious when I saw CO and CO 6 came down to usher the students. Wah really damn chaotic man. The last school came in and was seated just before 6 pm and they were considered 1/2 hour late cos the show started at 1727 sharp.

During the show nothing much happened but it was chaotic again once the student started to leave. First problem was the same as in the afternoon as the schools were criss crossing each other. Second the buses was just not enough..The turn araound time for the buses was just not fast enough and probably the last school left the stadium only at 0030 hrs.

I left there at about 2330 hrs after seeing a few remaining schools. Lets hope Preview and NDP is not like this.
