3 hours - Reginald Lewis

Yesterday I spent about 3 hours reading this e-book at books.google site.

A recommended book by Mr Umar Hamid as he mention that this book was the turning point of his life from the Entrivisi Nite..

So you must wonder right why it change Mr Umar’s life so much?

I was thinking of getting the book though but finances did not permit it do, so the e-book will do it for now. Well the e-book was not complete throughout as they left out certain pages missing especially the exciting parts in every single chapter. So to read them you have to buy it.

The book..

Looking at the title, you may think its a racist gesture right? Imagine someone wrote “Why Should the Chinese Have All the Fun?”, I think such remarks can spark anger. The book has nothing about racism but about a man who fought through tirelessly to prove to the world that someone like him from the middle class can be as successful as the likes of Trump, Bill Gates and so on. Reginald Lewis is not alive today but his story lives on..

The first few chapters described of his life when his father left the family when he was only 5 and he then lived with his grandparents. A very typical down to earth story but the kind of life he went through also built up his character as he was growing up. Known to be a bright young boy, he also became a quarter back in his footballing days in high school and since then people already notice his leadership potential.

He was the first African American to got a place in Harvard Law School due to his ability to speak up in clarity and his confidence in debates.Of the whole interview process, he was noticed and was among the top two in that batch. So once he graduated from Law School, he was offered to work in a law firm which paid him quite a big sum especially in those days

Two years later he left the firm and started his own with another partner. During this time, he was already itching to get out of the law practice and wanted something which can get him do something else..

Eventually those ideas came through and he developed a billion dollar business from it and it is the FIRST African American Company that had made the billion dollar mark..

Well he seemed to be like the typical high flyer right?? Good grades good job. In todays world is that enough? The story was almost related to what Mr Umar went through in his life probably that was why he could relate to it. Maybe that is why he took the call to be an investor and started buying and selling companies. As mention in my previous posts about the Another Entrepreneur, these people seem to come to a point in their life where money is not everything, they needed something to satisfy their hunger….Regardless of who you are and what race you from..everyone can do it but only if you want it..

My question to you is …”ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR SUCCESS !!!!”..

My Life Mission: I enable others to discover purpose in their lives and empower them to pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest with God’s blessing.
