Wet wet world - the effects of tsunami and the monsoon

The last 3 days, a bunch of NUS students camping at Changi has been turmoiled by rain and cold weather. The rain has really affected our morale but still we did our best to make the camp as fun as possible. This actually reminded me of those days in the jungle when it rained and rained.

Nvm..the first day of the camp we had a a barbeque which was spoilt by the rain of course but we manage to play a few interesting games. The best game played on that day was a murder scenario where some of the games committee played characters in this murder scene. We were supposed to figure how the murder was carried out and there were 5 stations. I almost fought with Adisti cos she was playing Johan(a tomboy) haha..kesian dia. At the end my team sort of wrote our conclusion. It wasn’t accurate but at least i fid this interesting cos its new…

Second day was full of beach games and cultural night…We set off playing beach games which requires mental and physical strength. Freezebie games and many more..My team won a series of games which ended abruptly with rain but i learned how to “Anyam Ketupat”.not sure if thats the right word..what the heck right…Later we prepared our performance for our cultural night..It was quite fun changing lyrics of a dikir barat song and choreographing the moves. That night the games committee acted out how the murder scene was supposed to be..and we had two performances by the other campers. Since ours was the sikir barat thingy..i like the other team’s performace which was “Whose line is it anyway”..I will always laugh at their gags..haha..Good job ah Faizal Rawi and Lendra..Of course our dikir barat blew the crowd away and we actually won best performance for it…all thanks to Fezhah, Hoirul, Adhana, Rahimah and Anita.

Third day was more relaxed cos we started to pack the tents and had our last game. The game was to identify the clues given and draw it on paper.. Again my team won this with one mistake. I think this game could be incorporated for the perkampungan bahasa cos it was interesting enough and could really gel a group. During prize presentation, I won the most sporting guy haha…really ke.. i felt guilty sleeping in the hammock when others were trying to sleep underwater..haizz…Anyway i won a lot of the prizes which was shared around..

It was really a Kem Kita Kita …cos we bonded and get to know more NUS people there even though i don’t talk to them at least i recognise their faces and name (ok maybe not the names..I’m always bad at it). Thanks all for the fun days..it really brightened me up after getting disappointing results…
