EO’s back

Hey people I’m back, another day older already in Singapore. The Taiwan trip I would say was ok. The new environment, the beautiful scenery, the fresh air. What more can I ask for right. Of course the free trip had a catch to it that is to walk as Infantry soldiers. The walk was pretty strenous I would say cos we had to really climb hills and mountains at a very fast pace.

I did write about my accounts on a book but I’m too lazy to transfer it here.

The real deal..the kind of mission we should expect in Wars.

Okok gonna tok about Army stuff. Well this was the first time i saw a real war exercise going on. I was attached to the Blue Forces as umpire. There were 3 missions to accomplsh.

The first mission was totally madness. The troops had to climb a 500m knoll and bash down a very steep slope just to reach the objective. It took like 6-7 hours to climb and like 1 hour to bash down. I have to pity the heavy weapon carriers. This was really bad.

The other two missions are not too bad cos the walking distance was not that far. I would not comment about how they fair cos this is confidential information.

Nevertherless i enjoyed the walk cos i think my legs are stronger now. The view at the mountain top was just spectacular. U can just see the whole town just below you.

The Typhoon..

The first few days in Taiwan we were already been given sea warning for the Typhoon to come but base on the news the epicenter of the natural disaster would not come to our area. Instead it would hit Taipei. So we were consider lucky cos we were only hit by the outer circles of the Typhoon for just a night. But just for a night, i can feel the window shake and when we open up our windows we can see palm trees slanted at 90 degrees. It was pretty strong but all is well, there are no casualties and ATEC was still on schedule.

Free & Easy RnR

Ahh there was a free an easy trip at Kaoshiung but gosh they gave us a lousy hotel.. OKok no complains yah, its free anyway. The hotel was more of the prostitute kind of hotel ah but luckily none of that happen. OKlah from downstairs while surfing the net , i saw a few couple signing in. U know I know duhh…They even have a porn channel to watch. Ok u may think this is mad but yeah they do have it there. U can watch until u get sick.

Kaoshiung - The dirty streets

Kaoshiung is probably like Malaysia but they dont have the stuff that I was looking for. Regret man, I should have bought the stuff at the beach resort…Kwa kwa a mistake…ahhhh. Well like most countries the streets in the City are very filthy. I felt like running back to the country but I can’t do that right…haizz..

Shopping

Ergh ok nothing much too buy lah…like i said above i regretted not buying the stuff at Kanting (Beach Resort).

Food..

At Kaoshiung i actually found an Indonesian Restaurant. Tak tahu lah halal ke tak. Sebat jer lah. What can I do right, in a country fully populated by Christians, Buddhists and Taoists. Well at most i would just eat seafood lah.

Communications

Everytime I want to say something, i have to get my friend to talk…hehe….All the words that i know in Mandarin was really no use…what I know..hmm Sia Sia..Ni Hao Ma..haha..okok..limited vocab right..that’s y i need a translator. Luckily I am an officer..muahaha..can order my sergeant to follow me around..hehe..

I’m back..

Glad to be back. At least from the experiences, i would still say that Singapore is still a great city even the though the lifestyle is so damn stressful. At least I dont need a translator here right…

OK well there’s more to say yah….maybe i write it down another day..back to sleep now.
