California Fitness

Well two days ago I’ve got a call for a 7 day trial at California Fitness. Ok I was like hmmm…why not give it a try and was told to make an appointment with someone there. So i went down last night.

I was supposed to meet this person called FEzhah and i thought it was Fezhah Maznan lah..haha no offense ya. End up a chinese guy with normal built came up to me. His name was Daren. Well firstly he asked me certain questions pertaining to why am I here and stuff. I just replied i just want to check out the place.

Well he gave me a tour and tell me about all the courses and interesting classes that i can take up. Then later he introduce me to a fitenss instructor who can guide me. This guy eventually brought me around again and tested my lean and fat muscles. I’m leaner than you think…haha but i’m at a good healthy level k even though i look so thin.

Of course i asked a few questions, like how much for a personal trainer…it can cost 72 to 100 per hour..Fuyoh ini ketuk sak..Last time i ask Adil it was not that much. My friend Adil is a personal trainer.

Later Daren explained to me the charges and all…Hmm Registration fee $599, processing fee $99 and monthly fee $100..i look at it and said what the…well i’m not stupid k…they have many other offers. I said no…and asked him to show me another plan. Well the cheapest so far is a Silver Package. Reg fee 100, processing fee 99 and monthly 50…Well i look at it, shoots man…what i need was a personal trainer who can discipline and guide me through the excercise. Paying for membership was already a bomb and yet a trainer. Gosh i guess good fitness comes with a price yah.

Anyway i did not take the offer. I’m a salesman too ok. The Daren guy tried to pester me to sign up immediately and told me about that the offer would not come again. Bull shit, all salesman talk. I know better I’m a salesman too hehe..so he really had a hard time with me. Well I think i’m getting better at squeezing deals even though i did not took the offer. I got his card and told him that i will call him if i want to join. Then i went off without saying anything…

Somehow i pissed that guy cos he went all the trouble bringing me around and trying to convince me. Well to be honest he wasn’t a good salesman and i felt dishonesty in him. So what if you have the best products, in business its all about trust.

Something i learn from the books i read. Never except the first offer. I think it was Donald Trump’s Book.
