A few of my Muslim brothers and I had this idea of starting a portal to consolidate all the Islamic events in Singapore almost 1 year back. Today the idea is starting to turn real !!

It started with just a simple problem which is events gathering. We were wondering why some of the events organized by Mosque or our Muslim organizations aren’t receiving good responses. Ok maybe for the bigger organizations, they do not have this problem but the smaller ones do and the capacity for them to advertise in newspapers or TV is just too out of the way and there are too many guidelines and red tapes.

Now we are looking at a bigger channel, the Internet. An ever growing number of users are using the net for work, play and even socializing and there will be more in years to come!!

Being Computing and Multimedia students we took to the idea and well it took months to conceptualize and get the ideas right. It was really difficult especially to get ourselves to sit down and materialize this work as we were always too busy with studying, work and so on.

So yeah now the portal will start to run soon and hopefully it will turn out great and useful for everyone..Insyallah.

So what does IslamicEvents.SG actually provides you?

IslamicEvents.SG will provide you the simplest form of information about any Muslim Event in Singapore. You will know the dates, time, event organized by who..You can view their posters and much more..hmm maybe we should make it like Mocca..haha (Ok don’t think about the man in the underwear..sheesh..) ..ok that we have not implemented..(Just and idea!!!).

When you enter the first page ( Website is not Live YET ), the first thing that you will see is today’s event. Yes today’s event!! There are practically 69 mosques + 10 to 20 more Muslim organizations in Singapore and every day, there is something going on!!

All the events will be appear from the day it goes online and will disappear only when it hits 0000 hrs the next day.

Well if you do not know how to get to the location, don’t worry!! We implemented a system for you to locate it and yes you can find out what bus to take there and so on…

I went to the website and there is nothing there. What’s up?

Relax ah!!! We are not ready yet but in time to come we will. We have set 5th of November for the portal to go LIVE and right now we are looking out for subscribers.

What do I gain by being a subscriber?

Firstly we will not want to spam people for no reason. So instead of spamming you, we are giving you an option to choose which is to subscribe for events updates and newsletters. You can unsubscribe anytime too!!

Subscriptions for readers are FREE!! NO charge at all. Our earnings are from the poster designs and adverts we create for the organizations that participate in our portal. So for you readers its FREE!!!

We will promise you this that there will be no selling of materials and your emails will be kept confidential. You will only receive events updates, newsletters and notices by us.
