SMU - a part which i’ve never seen before

July 28, 2007 by Fadzuli

Yesterday I went down to SMU for the Networking Nite organized by the Entrivisi Committee. I had to call Sarah and Putra - I could not get Putra at first, so I called Sarah to ask where could I park the car in SMU. SMU had only one carpark entrance at Lee Kong Chian School of Business which is just opposite of CHIJMES.

View this map if you wish to park the car there - Click here.

Parking for the weekend is $2 for the whole day. Normal days will be $2 for each hour. Its quite cheap for the weekend. If you can’t find any car parks in town on weekends. Consider SMU..hehe…but you have to walk a bit around town.

Beautiful walkways!!

I’m really impressed with the walkways at level B1. It looks like our Singapore Airport. So clean and modern!! This is an underground path that connects all the schools together. Maybe it links to Dhoby Ghaut MRT too. The walkway is complete with a Food Court, Bookshops, Printing shops, Opticians, Clinics, Dentists, OCBC Bank, Travel Agencies, 7-eleven and many more. ATMs are also not that far away from each school. There are also ample of spaces for students to hang around to study and conduct their own activities. You just get everything here.

Unlike NUS you have to travel from one point to another taking bus just to get certain things, SMU is just a walk away!! Heh promoting SMU eh..

Jungle Toilet

If you happen to get into this toilet, yes you will feel as though you are in the forest peeing away. The walls are covered with jungle wall papers and so are the floors. Ok make sure you pee in the urinating bowl, not on the trees!!

I think I found this toilet closer to the POSB ATM Machine!!
