By the time I get back from the holidays. We have pictures and videos and what not and there’s the work that’s left behind also. Ahh so much to do and yet little time for yourself. So today I told myself, I’ll wake up earlier than the usual 6.30am timing to BLOG.

So here’s my update on my trip to Kedah…

On Saturday 24th Jan 09, we set off around 4.30am in the family car. Picking up my grandmother and aunt along the way and we reached TUAS checkpoint at 5.15am. Well even though we were early, there were more people earlier than us and the JAM was really ridiculous. We passed Johor Check Point by 9am.. 3 hours plus in the jam.. Anyway we expected it lah.. Both the checkpoints were already jammed since Friday afternoon.

So as we moved on, the North South highway was no different. With accidents, police road blocks and what not. The usual 8 hours drive to Kedah became a 12 hour drive. There were times that we moved like 30km/h for 10km stretches. So the delay.. 

Yup we reached my cousin’s place at 9pm on that day with swelled BUMs. haha.. It was great to see Kak Nadiah’s house lah… It’s so big!! Goodness its a bungalow in like one of the better housing estates. Tesco was like 5 minutes walk and the rest of eating and shopping places was just like one step away. A 2 story bungalow with 6 rooms, plenty of toilets and outdoor kitchen and so on. It felt like a resort.. What a way to get away for a few days.

So yeah we ate dinner and spent time catching up. My cousin Kak Nadiah was around but her husband was away for Business trip in Sydney for a month. She has 3 kids, Atilah – 10 years old, Aqilah – 5 years old and Akhil – 3 years old. The kids were shy when we got there on the first day. 

So this is my room I shared with my youngest Bro..

Well that’s day 1… Day 2 coming up tomorrow. I came to this place to learn about the country but end up I become a Consultant to my cousin..haha.. So stay tune for 2nd day at Kedah..
