An Interview & A fruitful meeting

Its been a great day today. Had an Interview by Sis Rizwana, who’s helping AMP to write a paper about Islamic Contents online. It lasted about 2 hours long. There were several questions about the usual how we started etc etc.

Then surprisingly the conversation went into the several ethnic areas. Like why Islamicevents.sg is only catering to Malay Muslims community. Sis Rizwana being an Indian Muslim and well verse in Tamil shared a little bit of experience when she tried to interview the people in Masjid Malabar.

She mention that there is language barrier that seems to separate us with them. The people from this mosque could speak English but they still prefer to speak Tamil because this allowed them to retain their culture and language. Kind of challenging huh. Well I guess to understand a certain community you do need to speak the language.

Well I hope that Luqman and I had given her sufficient information to proceed on with the paper. For your info Sis Rizwana is doing the work on voluntary basis and she’s just finish her PHD here in NUS. All the best sis if you are reading this. Ooh yeah thanks for the lunch treat!!

After lunch we met Hafihz. We call upon our Bro here to discuss with him on the marketing strategies for Islamicevents.sg.. Well the ideas are still fresh in my head and just waiting to be implemented. We’ll see if it can work.
