To be old and wise.. Don’t we first have to be young and foolish

This topic brought out by one of my students, Mr Anuar Subari ( www.anuarsubari.blogspot.com ) got me thinking. And again it was kind of indirectly brought out again by Bro Fadzrun during our first company (IslamicSG Networks) dinner.

Bro Fadzrun was asking my freelancers, “Would you be interested in business?”. Both of them shook their heads. “Then probably when you get older then you would know why”, Fadzrun said. Well what does he mean by that? Well all of us are not too old lah..I’m still the oldest among the partners though heh.

If you realised that most people who started business are usually in the 30s and 40s when they are either retrench, sick of their bosses telling them what to do or just got the inspiration to start something. Well having the capital is one thing but being older would also hinder you from taking too much risks.

So to be old and wise.. Don’t we first have to be young and foolish? Then I replied to Mr Anuar, shouldn’t we start younger then and be foolish so that we are not too old to be wise.

So ladies and gentleman, let’s not be too old then we began telling ourselves that we should have done this and that when we are younger. Let’s start today and dont use yesterdays or todays excuses for not starting what you wish to do.
